Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Over the past couple of weeks, the work on the church dome has been paused because of scattered showers and 10 to 15 mph winds which have prohibited the crew from spraying the foam insulation on the dome. We are anticipating that the crew will come on Monday to start applying the foam insulation layer. The monastic stylized cross that adorned the top of our dome has been welded on a new aluminum plate with a larger surface area and will be more permanent immediately prior to the spraying of the foam insulation.
Let us keep praying to Our Lord and God and to our Blessed Mother Mary, patroness of our church, for a smooth progress in this crucial phase of our roof repairs.
We launched the “Raise the Roof “fundraiser to raise $200,000 to help offset the cost not covered by our insurance. We are currently at $34,679 or 17.34% of our goal.
Together, through your generosity, we change lives, do God’s work and preserve the beauty of Our Lady’s Parish. Let us " raise our hands to this good work… ". Make a gift today.
Chorbishop Don J. Sawyer, D. Min.
