Dear Parishioners and Friends,
This is the 2nd week in our crucial restoration project. The dome, once covered by a red sheet, now stands exposed as the vinyl has been completely stripped away.
After careful inspection of the interior of the dome and the beautiful imagery that adorns the inside of our church, the crew is meticulously working on the next phase: removing the thick foam insulation layer without disturbing the underlying concrete structure. This delicate process involves careful scraping and peeling to ensure the integrity of the concrete is preserved.
The provided images showcase the progress made over the past 5 days, highlighting the crew's precision and dedication in this intricate task.
Let us keep praying to Our Lord and God and Our Blessed Mother Mary, patroness of our church, for a smooth progress in this important project.
We launched the “Raise the Roof “ fundraiser to raise $200,000 to help offset the cost not covered by our insurance. We are currently at $3,467 or 1.7335% of our goal.
Together, through your generosity, we change lives, do God’s work and preserve the beauty of Our Lady’s Parish.
Chorbishop Don J. Sawyer, D.Min.
