The Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal organization that focuses on charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. It was founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, primarily to provide financial assistance to families struggling with the death of a breadwinner and to unite Catholic men in faith and service. Over time, the organization has grown significantly and now has over 2 million members worldwide.
The Knights of Columbus Chapter of Saint Sharbel, at Our Lady’s Maronite Catholic Church, is dedicated to supporting our parish through various spiritual, financial, and service-oriented initiatives. We assist with parish fund raisers, serve at divine liturgy, promote vocations, support clergy, support parish ministries, provide charitable outreach, and foster community spirit.
Our fraternal mission is centered on fostering a strong sense of brotherhood among the men of our parish through social events and outings, and by gathering with other Knights of Columbus chapters throughout the Austin area. We strive to create an environment where men can grow in their faith, support one another, and serve our community
